My name is Martin.

I recently realised that something needed to change in my life.

I was in Dublin, seeing all the life and people around me, and I remember thinking: "wow, I'm actually really lonely."

So in February 2026, I decided to completely turn my life trajectory around and start taking the necessary steps to solve the issues I was facing.

This page and group, Room for More, are part of that.

I now live in Oslo, and I host social events so both I and the people attending can make more friends, expand our social circles, and create more connections with people.

I am essentially trying to do what I would want someone else to do for me.

If you want to meet new people, or attend any of my events and activities, then you are very welcome to do so.

Where to find what's happening

This website is where events live: the write-ups, weekly regulars and one-off things alike, and RSVP right on the page when you know you're coming. Meetup works too and is where a lot of people first find us.

WhatsApp, Instagram, and the other relevant links are in the Links section on the front page.

On Meetup, the group is called Room for More — Meet People in Oslo; either half of that name finds it in search.

Photos

I use a mix of AI-generated images and real photos. Sometimes an image is purely AI-generated. Sometimes it is based on a real photograph, with AI used to adjust layout, text, or other visual details. Event cover images on this site are labelled when they are AI-generated, which lets me make custom promos without pretending they are candid shots from the night.

I still use real photos where that makes sense, for example on social media or when someone shares a picture from an event. If you have a photo you are happy for me to use, you can mention it on the contact page or by email.

If you don't want to be identifiable in an image I use, or you don't want me to use a photo at all, please contact me or send an email and I'll sort it out.
