Membership
First, the honest why. I started Room for More after realising how lonely I actually was in a city full of people, and how many others quietly feel the same. Plenty of companies make money off loneliness staying unsolved: apps designed to keep people swiping and scrolling instead of actually meeting anyone. I don't want to build that. I want to be part of the solution: real events where people meet for real, and a site that helps you stay in touch with the people you met there.
The goal is simple to say and big to do: make Oslo an easier place to find your people, with events and tools built for the community that uses them, not for advertisers. The events came first. This site came next, so all of it has a home that no other platform can take away. How fast the rest arrives, more events, more community hosts and better tools, depends on time and money, and that is where membership comes in. Every single member helps me massively in making this real, and tells me it's worth building. That matters more than the money, honestly.
What stays free
Joining free events, making an account, RSVPing, answering contact requests, and hosting your first three community meetups. Nobody has to pay to belong or to be reachable.
The membership levels
Supporter is 40 kr a month, about one bus ticket, and is available now. It includes sending contact requests to people from your events and hosting community meetups without limits. Everyone's first three meetups are free to host, so you can try it before deciding anything. Cancel anytime.
The money goes straight into keeping Room for More running: platform fees, this website, props and materials for events. Nothing here runs on ads or on selling your data, and I want to keep it that way. What comes in and what it pays for is reported openly on the updates page.
Regular will be 300 kr a month. On paid events, Regular members will pay the event's break-even cost. The standard ticket will be that cost plus a 50% markup. Regular is mainly for people who want to support the ongoing work and come to paid events; it will not automatically be the cheapest choice for everyone. The saving on each paid event is half that event's break-even cost, so whether it saves you money depends on what you attend. Regular is shown now so the plan is clear, but it cannot be bought until that price and the existing-member upgrade have both been tested with real event costs.

Checking your account…
Membership ties to your free account, the same email login you use for RSVPs. No password needed: just enter your email below, whether you're new here or already have an account. Once you're signed in, you can join or manage your existing membership right here.
By signing in you accept the terms and privacy notes.
You're signed in as . Stripe gets that email from your account, so the membership always lands on the right one.
Stripe handles payment. The legal company name there is KI Eksperten Norge AS, the company behind Room for More.
Not seeing your payment here yet. Stripe can take a minute or two to tell us, so give it a moment and press refresh again. Nothing is lost while you wait. Still nothing after a few minutes? Say hi via the contact page and it gets sorted by hand.
You're a member. Thank you. 💛
Your member things live on your connections page (contact requests) and your hosting page (your meetups).
Your membership is paused. The last payment didn't go through, so the member things are switched off for now.
Updating your card starts it again and you keep the membership you already have. Please don't sign up again from this page, that would start a second membership and charge you twice.
Could not check your membership right now. Refresh to try again, or contact me if it keeps happening.
Membership and donations are different
Membership pays for named benefits. A donation buys nothing and is simply an optional way to help with costs. The support page lets you choose a one-off or monthly gift amount.
The fine print, in plain words
Payments run through Stripe with the same email you use for your account. You can cancel anytime and the membership simply runs out at the end of the paid month. Payment records are kept for bookkeeping (Norwegian accounting law); everything else about your data is on the privacy page.
