Terms (plain language)
Short and readable on purpose. Room for More is run by KI Eksperten Norge AS in Oslo. If anything here is unclear, ask via the contact page.
Events
Events are social gatherings at public venues. You join at your own responsibility, you buy your own food and drinks from the venue, and venue house rules always apply. Be decent to the people around you. That's the whole culture here. If someone makes others uncomfortable, they can be asked to leave and may not be welcome at future events.
Accounts
When accounts are open, they're for people 18 or older. Your profile is private by default, and your contact info is never shown publicly. The details are in the privacy page. Use your account honestly: one account, your real intent, no harassing or spamming people. Accounts used to make others uncomfortable can be closed. You can delete your account yourself at any time from the account page.
Connections between members
Contact requests are for people who were at the same event, and they run on consent: the other person decides what to share, declining is silent, and a no is a no. Don't use what someone shares to pester them. You can block anyone, and reports are read by a human. If someone repeatedly makes others uncomfortable, their account can be closed.
Community meetups
Members can host their own meetups through the site. Those are organized by the member, not by Room for More: the host is responsible for their own meetup, and Room for More provides the tools (the page, RSVPs, reminders), not supervision. A few firm rules for hosts: meetups happen in public places, they're social gatherings (not sales pitches, recruitment, or anything guests would need to pay the host for), and the same be-decent culture applies as everywhere else. Hosts appear with their profile name. If you cancel, do it through the site so everyone who RSVPed is told. Meetups that break these rules can be taken down and hosting access removed. Joining a community meetup is free and at your own responsibility, same as any event here.
The chat
The community chat is for the same things as the events: talking, planning, keeping in touch. Same be-decent culture, written down: no harassment, no spam or promo for unrelated things, and only share photos of people who are okay with it. You can remove your own messages, report anything, and block anyone (you'll stop seeing each other in the chat, both ways). Chat photos are temporary and disappear after about 90 days. Messages that break these rules can be removed, and accounts that keep breaking them can lose posting access or be closed. It's a chat between people, not a support channel: for anything about the site itself, use the contact page.
Payments, membership, and donations
Payments run through Stripe. The membership (40 kr/month) can be cancelled anytime and simply runs out at the end of the paid month. Donations are voluntary support, not purchases. If something went wrong with a payment (wrong amount, accidental double), get in touch and we'll sort it out. For paid events, the refund policy is stated on the event page.
The spirit of it
Room for More exists to make it easier to meet people. Events stay open to everyone, and nobody ever pays to be reachable, to answer a request, or to share their own info. The paid parts exist to keep the free parts running, not the other way around. These terms exist so everyone can rely on that, and on each other. They may get more formal as things grow; changes land on the updates page.
