You pick the what, when, and where. The site gives it a page with its own chat for the people coming, takes RSVPs, sends the day-before reminders, and afterwards people can stay in touch through their connections page. Meetups happen in public places and the same house rules apply as everywhere else. You'll get a reminder the day before with the headcount, and guests can also send you private questions. Those arrive by email, so you can just reply.

New meetup

You only need a what, a when, and a where to publish. Nothing is set in stone: everything can be changed afterwards, people who RSVPed are told about changes automatically, and small details can be sorted out in the meetup chat.

What is it? Date

Up to 60 days ahead. One meetup is one date. You can move it later, and everyone who RSVPed is told automatically.

Time (start, or start and end)

Roughly is fine, like "around 18:00". Guests see exactly what you write.

Where Search the place or address, then pick a suggestion so the map pin and distances work. Place name shown to guests Address (optional but helpful)

No exact spot yet? An area works, like "Frognerparken, exact spot in the chat". You can pin it down closer to the day.

When it's full, RSVPs close by themselves. Most meetups don't need a cap.

A few sentences about it (optional) WhatsApp group (optional)

Your meetup page already has a chat for everyone who RSVPs, so most meetups don't need this. A WhatsApp group is a nice extra for photos and instant pings. In WhatsApp: open the group, tap its name, choose "Invite via link", copy, paste here. Only people who RSVP see the link, never the public page. You can also add it later.

It publishes right away with your first name on it. Martin sees every new meetup and can remove ones that break the rules.
