Friday after-work tennis in Frogner Park

First time at one of these? Here's what it's like.

There's nothing to buy on this page. Denis takes the 100 kr in person on the day, and six of the twelve places are already spoken for. This is the last one we do that way, everything after goes through the site.

Checking RSVPs…

Tennis in Frogner Park on Friday after work, hosted by Denis.

Twelve of us playing doubles, in pairs, rotating through so nobody sits out for long. The court, rackets and balls are all sorted, so you can turn up with nothing at all.

However you play is fine. This isn't a club session, it's a social game and people swap around.

When and where

Friday 7 August, 18:00 to 20:00, Frogner Park.

The exact court goes out in the WhatsApp group beforehand.

If the weather turns we'll say in the group what we're doing. Last time we tried tennis outdoors it got rained off and one of the guys moved the whole thing indoors the same evening, so bad weather isn't automatically the end of it.

What it costs

100 kr, and that covers the court and the gear.

You sort it with Denis on the day, there's nothing to buy on this page. If you already paid him, you're sorted, don't pay again.

This is the last one we do that way. From here on it goes through the website instead, so it's on the books properly and nobody is left carrying other people's money around, which isn't fair to them.

Places

Twelve playing, and six of those are already spoken for by people who arranged it with Denis before this page existed. So there are six left.

Say so in the WhatsApp group if you want one, that's where Denis is keeping track of who's coming.

What to bring

Shoes you can move in and something to drink.

Rackets and balls are covered, but bring your own racket if you have one you like.

One thing worth saying

I'm not going to be there myself, I've got the online volunteer meeting at the same time. Denis is running this one.
