Indoor tennis on Friday, hosted by Gustav.

Gustav is the guy who rescued our tennis night back in July, when the outdoor court got rained off and he moved the whole thing indoors the same evening. Eight of us played. He's running this one properly, and we're making it a Friday thing from here on.

We play doubles and rotate every ten minutes, so you're swapping partners and opponents all evening rather than getting stuck in one match. However you play is fine. This isn't a club session, nobody's keeping score, and people help each other out.

Being honest about one thing: eight of us on one court means you're playing roughly half the time and sitting and chatting the other half. That's the trade for it being cheap and social. We're keeping it to eight rather than cramming more in, so you actually get a decent amount of play.

Indoors, so the weather doesn't matter at all.

When and where

Friday 21 August, 18:00 to 20:00, Oslo Tennisarena, Eikenga 4. We meet in the lobby at 17:45 and go to the court together.

What it costs

150 kr if you bring your own racket, 200 kr if you need one. Pick which when you buy. The 150 is the court split between us, and the extra 50 is the racket, which we sort out with the arena so there's nothing to pay on the night.

It's a flat price whether four of us turn up or eight, which is why it isn't exactly the cost per person on a full night.

You buy the ticket on the website, there's nothing to sort out on the night.

Places

Eight of us on the court, seven tickets on sale.

If fewer than four of us have a ticket by Thursday I'll call it off and refund everyone, so grab one early if you're coming.

What to bring

Indoor shoes with a clean sole, and something to drink.

One thing worth saying

Play within your own limits and warm up a bit. It's a social game and a pulled calf on a Friday isn't worth it.

And the pub crawl is still on afterwards at 20:00 if you fancy both.
