New in Oslo?

Arriving in a city where everyone already seems to have their people is a strange feeling. The weekends get quiet, the weekdays get long, and "just join something" is easier said than done. I moved here too, and Room for More exists because I needed exactly this to exist: low-pressure weekly events where new people are the normal thing, not the exception.

A week you can just plug into

Monday eases you in with board games, low-key and easy to follow even on your first night out in the city. Wednesday is the after-work mingle at Kulturhuset. Friday means the pub crawl through central Oslo. Saturday is an outdoor workout if you'd rather meet people while moving than sitting down. Pick whichever fits your week: all free, all built so you can show up alone. The events page has the exact times and next dates.

Don't speak Norwegian? Fine. Only speak Norwegian? Also fine.

We switch between English and Norwegian depending on who's there. A lot of internationals come, a lot of locals too, and nobody needs to be good at either language. It's one of the few rooms in Oslo where that genuinely doesn't matter.

The first visit is the hard one

So I wrote down exactly what an evening is like: how to find the table, what happens, when you can leave (whenever you want). Read it, pick an event, and RSVP right on the event page with your email (a one time login link does it, no password). If you click with someone, the site even helps you stay in touch afterwards, with a clear yes from both sides.
